Holly Sarll / Fine Artist
Born in 1997 in Cambridge, England. Holly Sarll is an artist currently developing her technique in expressive works and expanding her skills in painting, in particular action painting. She combines different media and techniques, which allows her to explore the means in which paint can be explored, such as painting in the expanded field. Her energised paintings and bold use of colour are key to this artists work.
Holly Sarll is an artist keen to push the boundaries between painting and sculpture. She energises her paintings but using vibrant colours and not limiting the movement she creates. In an age where human creativity is data that is comprised, the work confronts the viewer with the question, "What am I?"
Through her use of medium, she explores the explosive manner of form. Holly juggles between the idea of abstract and the theory of action painting in the expanded field. Human emotion is brought into her works as she constantly fights the battle of control and fluidity. The paint is a form within itself, aswell as the artist. Where is the balance of creation?
Holly's work is aiming to be visually pleasing in both subject matter and colour, and also to think outside the box to where the pieces may be displayed or installed.
The contrasting idea's between industrial and delicacy is something she is keen to explore, as well as the stereotype that the industrial world conveys a bleak selection of colour which always tend to be monochrome. Her pieces will not only juxtapose with this but offer more experimental territory for this developing artist.
